Wat Saket: Temple of the Golden Mount

Wat Saket, or the Temple of the Gold Mount has a very exquisite detailed architecture. Also known as Phu Khao Thong, or Golden Mount, its mounting crown of gold makes it so popular among locals and foreign alike. Wat Saket is best visited during the night wherein its crown is prominent among its features. This temple is built by King Rama I to guard the relics of Buddha. The Golden Mount, as part of the Wat Saket, is built around the 19th century buy King Ramma III.

The Golden Mount is adorned with many bright-colored lanterns and the temple ground turns into a fun-filled gathering. Climb into the cupola and see a very beautiful, heartwarming view of Bangkok.

Visiting a temple with history like the Wat Saket’s makes you think how it is constructed. The very unique infrastructure and the exquisite Golden Mount, they are also finely made.

I spent 4 days in Bangkok, Thailand. This is my first time to travel international. Visiting Thailand gives me the chance to explore their culture, food, and enjoy some time with the locals.

I highly recommend the Bangkok City Hotel where i stayed when i'm in Bangkok. Its very convenient location about a walking distance to shopping malls like Mah Boon Kong (MBK), Siam Square, and  Platinum Fashion Mall. For 890 Baht per person including buffet breakfast and free Wifi.

Magatas River

Welcome to today's post. I've been busy lately. Today's image is from the Magatas River in St Bernard, Southern Leyte. Its about 45mins from my home. Its an overcast sky but i manage to get a shot. The River is fast flowing and the local people use the fast flowing to irrigation.
I'm amaze how nature arrange the small and big rocks. Because of the fast flowing water, the stone arrangement this constantly change.

Brgy Sua Beach

I went out yesterday to shot some seascape after a bit of overcast afternoon but i manage to keep some of the image. I use ND and GND to slow the shutter speed to blur the water and make it creamy.

Gundam Fever

This the first time to build a gundam model kit.. I chose the R-78 because it is the first character of the mobile suit.. This is a good choice to try the basic modeling techniques first before going to MG, i might screw up the more expensive MG kits...
